1st prize: Andrew Goodloe, Dance and Diversions
2nd prize: Ralph Stricker-Chapman, String Quintet, op.13
3rd prize: Yates Brown, The Prowler/Teddy Raven, Baba Marta (a tie!)
Prize: 1st prize $1,000.00
2nd and 3rd prize $500.00 each
The top 5 pieces will be premiered at the Classical Revolution birthplace, Cafe Revolution (San Francisco), and also performed at The Red Poppy Art House.
All winning pieces will be performed at the DeYoung Friday Night Concert series in Summer 2013. The 1st prize composition will be recorded on the next album of The Musical Art Quintet.
Eligibility: All Living Composers
For the best composition for String Quintet (vln I, vln II, viola, cello, bass)

Judges: The compositions will be evaluated by the members of the Musical Art Quintet and the Board of Directors of Classical Revolution.

Material to be submitted:
- Score and Parts for one composition for String Quintet of at least 4 minutes in length. Optional percussion or Electronic track may be added.
- The scores may be sent by mail or email.
- The composition must be a new piece, never previously performed, and must be completely original with no quotes or samples of copyrighted material.
- You may include an electronic realization or recording of your submission.
- The Composers keep all rights and royalties associated with their composition.
- Please include a biography of the composer with your submission
